Cardio For Six Pack Abs

Posted by administrator Tuesday, September 9, 2008 0 comments

Cardiovascular training or cardio as we know it, is an aerobic solution that allows for more oxygen to be pumped through your body and hence burn more energy, muscle or fat. Latest research suggests that if you want six pack abdominals and a physique like a 100 meter sprinter, then less is actually more. So whats the best cardio for a six pack.

H.I.T.T. - High Intensity Interval Training.

What is it? Well it basically makes you work slightly harder with less time. So forget about the age old notion of spending hours on the treadmill. All you really need is 20 minutes, at a varied pace. Here is why, new research has found that long state steady cardio can actually start burning muscle for energy. Now, muscle is your fat burner, yes, the more lean muscle you have the higher your metabolism. So why would you want to burn your muscles?

On the other hand HITT is anaerobic, like weight training, as the intensity is varied. After a resistance training session your metabolism is continually raised as it tries to repair your body. Enter Interval Training, which is exactly the same. After slow and boring low intensity cardio your metabolism returns to normal, however with HITT your body's' metabolism is raised for up to the next 24 hours, sometimes up to 48 hours! So train with Intensity.

So when it comes to cardio for a six pack, next time your at the gym on your chosen cardio machine or going for a jog...try this. For the next 20 minutes -

* Warm up for 4 minutes.
* Run at 8.0 kmh for 1 minute (your level 6-7)
* Walk or slow jog at 5-6 kmh for 2 minutes (your level 5)
* Run at 9.0 kmh for 1 minute (your level 7-8)
* Walk or slow jog at 5-6 kmh for 2 minutes (your level 5)
* Run at 10.0 kmh for 1 minute (your level 8-9)
* Walk or slow jog at 5-6 kmh for 2 minutes (your level 5)
* Run at 11.0 kmh for 1 minute (your level 9-10)
* Walk or slow jog at 5-6 kmh for 2 minutes (your level 5)
* Cool down for 4 minutes.

Above is a hill style of HITT training. There are many more. I will finish asking you a question when it comes to cardio for six pack abs. Would you prefer to look like a marathon sprinter who runs at a constant steady pace for a long period of time or would you like to look like a muscular 100m sprinter?

Challenging your body in cardio, increases your chances of losing the weight you want, and then some. Representative actives serve no purpose in reaching your goals, but actually detour you from them. When your body adjusts and becomes used to the cardio that you do; other muscles aren't stimulated, and the ones you use get used to it; and adapt to be able to do it easier over time. Thus your cardio work needs stimulation always, and here are some ways to stimulate your workout:

Switch it up- this is the best thing, if you run, don't just go for running alone, try another activity that gets your muscles moving in other ways, such as swimming- backstrokes move your arms another way that you cannot during running.. You want to tone all parts; if you still need to run- get your arms involved and other parts that you may not notice you aren't stimulating. Many people run on machines, or in life- but keep their hands on the rails, or to the sides; whereas moving your arms in brisk movements, and keeping them up helps all your muscles get toned, and more areas to be accessed for weight loss.

Get moving- many people forget about key places- even in their main routine- as said before, if you are running, get your arms moving too. It's for any workout, pay attention to parts of your body that move less, and find ways to get them moving too. Don't worry about looking silly- it's the results you want, if you are that embarrassed; run when it's still dark out, but in all seriousness; it's about what you get from it, not for looks. So stimulate all parts, and watch yourself exercise for a day, and see which parts aren't moving, and find ways to get them moving as well, depending on the cardio workout you are doing.

Mental- if you find yourself nearing your goal, and things are getting easier for you; since you got used to it- give yourself new goals, new ideas, new stimulation. Even if you reach the goal you want, you want to maintain your body; so stimulate your mind over and over as to the goal, what you will get out of it; and what you were before doing it, so that your body will always be wanting the cardio, and will work just as hard as you want it to. Mental stimulation is everything, because after all it's what gets you moving in the first place.

How to Get Free White Teeth

Posted by administrator Wednesday, September 3, 2008 0 comments

Don't spend your hard-earned money on expensive teeth whitening kits! Get the very same results absolutely free. Don't pay a high office call to go to the dentist and get your teeth professionally whitened! You can have white teeth with things that are probably just sitting in your medicine chest or kitchen cupboard. Don't bother with those gel packs that you have to leave on your teeth. Don't buy that expensive mouthwash for smokers! You have everything that you need to brighten and whiten your teeth right in your own home. Remember that this is free and it works.

Do I have these items in my house?

All you need to whiten your teeth are simple household products. Ok, first go to the kitchen. Open the cupboard where you keep your baking supplies. Do you have baking soda? You probably do. Spoon about two teaspoons of baking soda into a little bowl or cup. Now, travel over to the nearest bathroom. Open the medicine chest. Do you have hydrogen peroxide? You probably have this common household item, too.

How do I make this paste?

Drop two or three teaspoons (this may not be exact) of the hydrogen peroxide into the baking soda, making a paste. This sometimes takes a little trial and error. Be sure it is the same consistency as toothpaste. If you wish, you can add a bit of mint flavoring or even a small dollop of toothpaste.

How do I use this free whitener?

Brush your teeth with your mixture, being sure to leave it on your teeth for at least two minutes. Do NOT swallow this paste! Trust me, you would not want to swallow it- the taste is not the best. To make the paste taste better, try to use the above tips. This will help to make the taste a little bit tastier.

What should I do after using this paste?

After you finish brushing with this free paste, brush again with regular toothpaste to rid your mouth of the taste as well as the peroxide solution. You will be amazed at just how white and bright your teeth will be! Many smokers and heavy coffee drinkers use this little trick. This may be a home remedy that your grandmother even used.

I have a dental condition. Should I try this whitener? Beware that if you have open sores, cavities, gingivitis, or other gum diseases this may make your gums appear white for a short time. This may not be the whitener for your teeth if they are very sensitive. As with anything, you should consult your doctor or dentist before trying this or any other medical treatment.

How often can I use this paste?

· This treatment can be done weekly, monthly, or whenever you want extra bright teeth!
· You should not brush with this mixture more than once per week.

List of Items Needed

· 3 teaspoons of hydrogen peroxide (the amount may vary depending on family size)
· 2 teaspoons of baking soda (the amount may vary depending on family size)
· Optional (A small amount of toothpaste or drop of mint flavor may also be added.)

Hopefully, this article put a bright smile on your face!

Types of Tooth Whitening

Posted by administrator 2 comments

There are many different types of procedures used to bleach or whiten your teeth. Tooth whitening has been around for many years and it is safe and effective for most dental patients.

We have found that the base color of your tooth is what determines your outcome. In general, teeth bleaching works best on teeth that have a yellow base color and worst on grays and brown combinations. The gray (tetracycline e.g.) either will lighten very slowly or not at all. If you have whitened your teeth with Crest bleaching strips (e.g.) your color change may not be as dramatic.

Whitening toothpastes.

We have found very little change with this type of product. Whitening is determined by concentration of the tooth bleaching product and time on contact. The whitening toothpastes are neither concentrated nor stay on your tooth very long. We have noticed is ...more tooth sensitivity with their use.

Whitening strips.

Tooth bleaching with strips are effective. Over the counter strips have lower concentrations of bleaching product and are not very long. Teeth whitening strips appear to bleach the front six (6) well but nothing further back (to short).

Tres white bleaching trays.

Best described as a combination of whitening strips and take home trays. Tres white appears to be effective in whitening teeth.

Custom take home tray tooth whitening trays.

A very good way to bleach teeth and still considered the gold standard of teeth whitening. Conditioning the enamel seems to be important in whitening your teeth. Bleaching teeth is a time factor... the more time the bleaching solution is on the tooth... the stronger the concentration... the better the result is.

One-hour-tooth whitening.

A popular method of tooth whitening, Time involved in teeth whitening is between 1 and 1.5 hours. Much more concentrated solution for a shorter period of time. More sensitivity of the teeth likely and the peroxide solution does leak under the rubber dam or light cured dental dam and creates small "white" sores that go away. Results are good but not always great. And follow up with Tres white or take home trays likely.

Combination of treatment... one hour whitening AND take home trays!

Combining treatment include one-hour whitening with custom made take home trays. This gives us the best result by far. Disadvantage is you need to wear the trays and most dental patients want to whiten their teeth in one hour and specifically do not want trays. Time is the issue... base color of your teeth... is the issue.
