Steps :
- Get them to at least try it. Maybe they'll like it.
- If they don't like regular milk, try flavored ( chocolate, strawberry, etc.) This will show them that milk can be delicious.
- Have them eat some cereal. Nothing better than a good filling breakfast!
- Encourage them with something they like, maybe make a chart and if they drink one glass of milk every day they get a prize, chocolate etc.
- Possibly, get them started on milk as soon as you get off of formula or breast milk. They'll get habituated into drinking milk, and soon it'll be one of their favorite drinks, depending on your child. It works great for me.
- Try other types of milk,like soy milk or nut milk; it's just as healthy!
- Cold milk is something many kids love,if not hot milk.
Warnings :
- Don't lie at all. Avoid anything like pouring a glass of milk and saying it's something else because the chances are your child will find out and lose trust in you.
- Don't continue to push. Make your child try it once or twice and if they don't like it it's okay. There's other healthy drinks out there.
- If your child often complains of stomach aches,a runny nose,watery eyes etc.DO NOT force them to drink it.Instead try almond milk or soy milk.It is just as healthy as regular milk.If that doesn't work take them to the doctor.
